Building a Library for the Future
The new Galesburg Public Library was made possible through a successful $4.2 million capital campaign led by the Galesburg Public Library Foundation and a $15.3 million Illinois Public Library Construction Act Grant. Together, these investments turned a shared community vision into reality—a modern, welcoming space designed to inspire learning, creativity, and connection for generations to come. The new library opened its doors to the public on April 24, 2024.
