This summer, the Galesburg Public Library was buzzing with excitement, creativity, and community spirit—and it’s all thanks to you.
We are thrilled to share that over 450 children participated in this year’s Summer Reading Program, and thanks to your generosity, we exceeded our fundraising goal! Every $10 gift helped bring books, hands-on learning, and joyful experiences to kids across our community.
From storytimes and concerts to crafts and imaginative games, the library became a hub of wonder for children of all ages. And the impact? It speaks for itself:
"I think my summer was amazing, mostly centering around the public library! I got to make a kite, play Dungeons & Dragons, and even rate pop-tarts at Tween Time!"
— Maya, age 11
"THANK YOU SO MUCH for sponsoring summer reading at Galesburg Public Library! We had so much fun participating!"
— Flora (age 6) & June (age 4)
Flora and June especially loved voting for librarian outfits, reading tons of books, attending concerts, and joining the “Crafternoon” fun.
These moments wouldn’t be possible without your support. You helped us create a free, safe, and inspiring summer for families—full of learning and laughter. You didn’t just give a gift—you helped write a story of community and kindness.
From all of us at the Galesburg Public Library Foundation and the Children’s Library, thank you for making this a summer to remember.
We can’t wait to do it again next year!
