About the Foundation

The Galesburg Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable institution founded in 2007 to enable individuals, organizations, and philanthropy to support new and existing library services and expand its resources. The Foundation works hand-in-hand with the Galesburg Public Library, laying the groundwork for the construction of the new library while contributing to high-impact library resources and projects for the current building. 

The Foundation is led by Heather Sipes, Executive Director, and the Board of Trustees, with the Galesburg Public Library Director serving in a consultative capacity. Trustees serve four-year terms.
